In May 2024, Camp Fire Minnesota marked a monumental milestone—our 100th anniversary—with a celebration that truly captured the spirit and history of our beloved camp. The festivities were filled with joy, nostalgia, and community spirit, drawing together alums, campers, and supporters for a memorable series of events. 

The weekend’s highlight was our Alumni Reunion, where past campers and staff reconnected, shared stories, and reminisced about their cherished experiences at Camp Fire Minnesota. The laughter and camaraderie were palpable, making it a heartwarming start to our centennial celebration. 

In a groundbreaking first, Trail Seekers: the Camp Fire Challenge was more than just a day of fun challenges and activities. It was a testament to the enduring impact of our camp experiences, raising an impressive $40,000 to support Camp Fire Minnesota’s programs. The competitive spirit and teamwork displayed by the 20 teams were a clear sign of the community’s commitment to our cause. 

We were also honored by a special message from Camp Fire Minnesota alumni, U.S. Senator Amy Klobuchar. Her video message, filled with congratulations and heartfelt memories, added a touch of distinction to the weekend’s events. Additionally, we received a proclamation signed by Governor Walz to mark Saturday, May 11th, 2024, as Camp Fire Minnesota Day!  

The camp Open House welcomed 280 community members. The lively music from youth bands set the tone while tie-dying stations brought a burst of colorful creativity to the day. It was a perfect blend of fun, nostalgia, and community engagement, showcasing the diverse and inclusive spirit that Camp Fire Minnesota is known for. 

As we reflect on this unforgettable weekend, we are filled with gratitude for the support and participation of our Camp Fire family. Here’s to 100 years of sparking discovery, lighting the fire within, and many more years of creating lasting memories and inspiring future generations.
