Camp Fire Minnesota is the perfect place for children to spend their summer. We are passionate about getting kids outside and creating a new community that they wouldn’t experience anywhere else. Here you can be yourself, learn alongside friends and caring adults, and have fun in the outdoors!
Each week of Day Camp is filled with a wide range of outdoor and nature-based activities that build character, ignite wonder and curiosity, and fill the woods with laughter. Zig-zag across Lake Minnewashta by canoe or kayak, take aim during archery in the woods, express your creative side through a variety of arts, become an outdoor survivalist and gather ’round the campfire. Adventure awaits!
AGES: 5-14
- Day Camp offers campers the full range of camp activities.
- Specialty Day Camps, where campers take a deeper look at one specific topic or activity and possibly turn a spark of interest into a full-fledged passion!
Plus, with easy check-in/out, Day Camp is convenient for parents and kids!
CHECK-IN/OUT SCHEDULE:
- Check-in: Monday – Friday, 8:30-9:00am
- Check-out: Monday – Friday, 4:00-4:30pm
- Closing Ceremony: Friday, 4:00pm
Day Camp Sessions:
Traditional Day Camp
Try a sampling of classic camp activities like archery, canoeing, fishing, arts & crafts, and more!
Art-Venture Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Calling all creative campers! Join the art specialist at the Art Studio every day, crafting up awesome works of art and learning some new techniques. Bring your pieces home and brighten your room with all your camp creations.
Bullseye Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: It’s time to hone your archery skills! You’ll go to the range every day, practicing the basics and progressively learning new skills, trying new targets, archery games, and more. Learn from our experienced archery instructors and make new friends with other campers who also love archery.
Culinary Creations Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Are you interested in cooking? At Culinary Creations, you’ll spend time each day in our garden and teaching kitchen. Whether you’re creating a new side dish, taste-testing a dessert, or making fresh salsa, you are guaranteed to build your skills as a chef.
Lake Adventures Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: For the camper who is part fish – join us at the lake! Campers will have extra time each day for fishing, canoeing, kayaking, and playing water games. Don’t forget you’ll have extra time on the water trampoline too!
Sky High Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Take to the skies at our Adventure Course! Start your week building teamwork with your group on the low ropes course, then use your skills to try out the high ropes, climbing wall, and giant swing. This camp is great for first-time climbers and those with more experience too.
Sportstastic Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Learn about and play a wide variety of sports and engage in friendly competition, facilitated by our awesome counselors. If you are high-energy and love taking on fun challenges with a team, Sportstastic is for you!
Trailblazers Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Campers will take time each day to learn wilderness skills in the Big Woods! Throughout the week, groups will design and construct hideouts and shelters, learn navigation skills, and observe animals and weather through games. Activities are designed to begin teaching campers wilderness skills they can develop over time.
Wilderness Survival Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Get ready for your next adventure! You’ll learn how to build a fire and cook outdoors, create survival shelters and tie knots, navigate using a compass, and more. By the end, you’ll be ready to take on anything!
Don’t Forget the Extras!
Day Camp Extras can be added during online registration or by contacting us after registration.
Extended Care:
- Before Care Only (check-in as early as 7:30am): $40/week
- After Care Only (check-out by 5:30pm): $40/week
- Full week Before/After Care Combo (7:30am – 5:30pm): $60/week
Meals: Register in advance for hot lunch. Meal includes main dish, sides, and milk.
- Lunch: $40/week
We aim to meet dietary needs, please include all dietary restrictions on your camper’s health form. Call or email us to discuss your camper’s dietary needs.
Camp Store: We use the app FunFangle for our camp store, which allows families to add camp store money to their camper’s online account. All families will receive information about how to add funds for the camp store in the spring.
Weekly themes create a fun, creative, and silly atmosphere showing up in all-camp games and activities.
Campers are encouraged to dress up on Wednesdays for the weekly theme — have fun!
