Resident (overnight) camps provide an immersive experience for campers to explore the outdoors, make new friends and to discover their spark. Through team and individual activities, our program focuses on inclusion, nature and character development led by caring and engaging camp counselors from all over the world.
During the daytime, campers enjoy traditional camp activities and venture out on great adventures on Lake Minnewashta and Tanadoona’s 103 acres. Before heading into rustic cabins for the night, campers spend the evening playing all-camp games, telling epic stories, and singing songs around the campfire.
Campers are grouped into cabins by age and gender. They spend most of the week in activities with their cabin mates. All campers come together for meals, swimming, evening activities and campfires.
What are you waiting for?! Carry on the 90-year-old traditions of camp life – Polar Bears and Rock’n Robins – and, of course, help create some new ones! At Tanadoona, campers build new skills and friendships, develop a deeper understanding of the natural world and simply have fun.
Progressive overnight camp experiences:

Mini-Resident Camp is a great option for campers with busy summer schedules or younger campers who are just starting out with overnight camp. It may be a shorter week, but there’s no shortage of fun or friendships formed!
Sunday – Friday | Ages 7-15 (Teen Week and Teen Bluewater Getaway, ages 12-17)
Resident Camp is the heart of Tanadoona. Each week, campers participate in a camp out and a week-long art project.
Teen Week Break away from all the pressure of being a teen and just have fun! Teen week is more relaxed than other weeks of camp. Roll out of your bunk later, and stay up at the campfire longer. Be sure to pack a fun outfit for the Camp Dance too! (ages 12-17)
Teen Bluewater Getaway
New in 2018, teens will head north to Camp Bluewater for fun and adventurous week at Bluewater Lodge. We’ll stay in the Bluewater Lodge and focus on getting to know one another, building leadership skills, and enjoying outdoor activities like archery, swimming, canoeing, fishing, hammocking, team-building, outdoor cooking, crafts, sports and more! This week is filled with fun and relaxation where teens choose their schedules. Learn more. (ages 12-17)
Northwoods Adventure Canoe Trip
