Camp Bluewater - Wabana Chain of Lakes Canoe Trip
(July 21–26 this trip will be offered for 6th–8th graders)
Campers arrive at Camp Fire Minnesota on Sunday and, on Monday, embark on their journey up north to our destination camp, Camp Bluewater, which is set on beautiful Bluewater Lake in the Chippewa National Forest. Together, campers plan their unique canoeing and camping trip within the Wabana Chain of Lakes. Campers will sleep in tents, enjoy camp cooked meals, paddle daily, and so much more.
BWCA: Alpine Loop Canoe Trip
*New for 2024
Campers will head up to the amazing Boundary Waters Canoe Area (BWCA) for a truly remote canoeing experience. After arriving at Camp on Sunday, the group will head out on Monday, driving north to the end of the Gunflint Trail. They will stay a night at Trail’s End Campground before heading into the BWCA for 3 days, 2 nights of serene wilderness paddling. They will do a loop that we call the Alpine Loop and end up right where they started. The BWCA is an incredible Minnesota treasure that we are excited to explore. Due to the length of this trip, campers will not spend their final night at Camp Fire, but will drive back on Friday, ready to share their tales with friends and family.
North Shore Adventure Trip
During this high adventure camping trip, campers will enjoy the thrill of white-water rafting on the St. Louis River, climb to new heights and zip line through the trees along the North Shore of Lake Superior. Campers will sleep in tents, enjoy camp cooked meals, hike, and explore the beautiful Northwoods.
“My favorite part is everyone can come together and express themselves.”
“We’ve only known each other a few days but we already feel like family.”
