Camp Fire Minnesota is the perfect place for children to spend their summer. We are passionate about getting kids outside and creating a new community that they wouldn’t experience anywhere else. Here you can be yourself, learn alongside friends and caring adults, and have fun in the outdoors!
Each week of Day Camp is filled with a wide range of outdoor and nature-based activities that build character, ignite wonder and curiosity, and fill the woods with laughter. Zig-zag across Lake Minnewashta by canoe or kayak, take aim during archery in the woods, express your creative side through a variety of arts, become an outdoor survivalist and gather ’round the campfire. Adventure awaits!
GRADES: K–8
- Day Camp offers campers the full range of camp activities.
- Specialty Day Camps, where campers take a deeper look at one specific topic or activity and possibly turn a spark of interest into a full-fledged passion!

Traditional Day Camp
Try a sampling of classic camp activities like archery, canoeing, arts & crafts, and more!
All-Stars: Sports Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: In our specialty sports camp, high-energy, challenge-focused campers will work as a team and learn new sports. They will spend time each day learning techniques of a variety of sports and then playing games with/against each other.
Aquatic Adventures: Waterfront Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: In our Waterfront specialty camp, water-loving campers are given the opportunity to spend more time at the Waterfront learning paddling skills, playing games, and exploring our lake with canoes, Corcls, paddle boards, and more!
Big Woods: Nature Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Big Woods, our Nature specialty camp, provides participants a more in-depth learning of nature and animals. They will have access to the equipment and lessons from our Nature Center and will explore the camp environment with a Naturalist as a guide.
Bullseye: Archery Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: In our archery specialty camp, Bullseye, campers will practice their skills and develop a better understanding of the principles of archery. Campers spend two hours a day practicing archery techniques, demonstrating their knowledge, and engaging in skill-based games.
Crafteriffic: Art Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: The objective of Crafterrific is to give artsy campers a varied art experience, using supplies exclusive to the group and participating in more in-depth crafts. They will work in our art barn, while also taking in the beauty of camp and using it to inspire their artwork.
Culinary Creations: Cooking Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Culinary Creations, our cooking specialty camp, provides opportunities for campers to learn kitchen and food safety protocols, work in our camp garden, and make some delicious food.
Fork and Fire: Outdoor Cooking Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: Participants of this specialty camp will embark to our various campsites throughout the week to make delicious food over a fire. They will learn ways to cook in an outdoor setting, and will enjoy their creations while soaking up the beauty of the outdoors.
Lil’ Explorers: Outdoor Skills Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: In this specialty camp, nature-curious campers have opportunities to work as a team and learn new Outdoor Living Skills (OLS). Campers spend time each day in an exclusive section of the Play Forest, engaging in lessons with our OLS specialist, and working to build their “campsite.”
Sky High Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: In our Sky High specialty camp, intrepid campers spend more time at the Adventure Course for lengthier climbing sessions with opportunities to try all our climbing elements (including, high ropes, rock climbing and our giant swing), as well as hone their rope skills with supplemental climbing lessons.
Teen Extreme Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: In Teen Extreme, our specialty camp exclusively for 7th and 8th graders, campers will get to enjoy climbing, paddle boarding, archery, and so much more with youth their age. Get outside and enjoy an action-packed schedule full of the most exciting programs we have to offer.
Wild Wonder: STEM Specialty Camp
Specialty Day Camp: This specialty camp allows youth to participate in different experiments and activities that will teach them more about science in nature.

Day Camp Extras can be added during online registration or by contacting us after registration.
Extended Care:
- Before Care Only (check-in as early as 7:30 am): $45/week
- After Care Only (check-out by 5:30 pm, no After Care on Fridays): $40/week
- Full week Before/After Care Combo (7:30 am–5:30 pm, no After Care on Fridays): $80/week
Meals: Register in advance for hot lunch. Meal includes main dish and sides.
- Lunch: $50/week
We aim to meet dietary needs, please include all dietary restrictions on your camper’s health form. Call or email us to discuss your camper’s dietary needs.
Camp Store: We use the app FunFangle for our camp store, which allows families to add camp store money to their camper’s online account. All families will receive information about how to add funds for the camp store in the spring.
Weekly themes create a fun, creative, and silly atmosphere showing up in all-camp games and activities.
Campers are encouraged to dress up on Wednesdays for the weekly theme — have fun!
