Camp Fire Minnesota is launching a program focused on connecting with middle school students in the 2025 – 2026 school year!
Are you a student in 6th – 8th grade who has previously been involved in our After-school Explorers class? This program may be for you!
Alongside Camp Fire staff, students will develop leadership skills while connecting to nature and outdoor recreation. This program centers youth voice and choice, meaning your interest and goals will drive the program plans! We will get hands-on experiences like immersive hikes, canoeing, fishing, woodland camping, and even mentoring our current afterschool explorers!
Programs are free to families, transportation is provided from community sites in Minneapolis, and gear is provided.
We will meet once a month, primarily on non-school days, as well as an overnight camping retreat taking place at the start of summer 2026.
This program is open to 13 students.
