In 2014, Camp Fire Minnesota successfully completed Phase 1 of its multi-phase capital campaign, raising $1.5 million. These investments built a new Day Camp Village and overnight cabins, multiple gathering areas, archery range and garden, and the Tree House. The new Tree House is the first of our Outdoor Living Classrooms nestled in the Big Woods. See many of these updates in the photos below.
A new front entrance welcomes campers and visitors with native plantings around the gate.
Our three new Bluebird Cabins have an open-concept, giving our campers a full view of the nature surrounding them. They’re electricity-free, for an unplugged summer camp experience.
Heart of Camp provides a comfortable seating area perfect for all-camp games, songs, skits and gatherings for campers and groups.
Our Day Camp Village, named Ginkgo Circle, features six brand new day camp cabins and a campfire ring to gather around. Ginkgo Circle provides day camp campers with the same community experience resident campers enjoy and helps prepare them to progress into resident camp.
A favorite camp activity, campers (and adults) love heading into the woods to take aim in the new archery range built in 2012.
Tucked along a trail in the woods, the yurt provides additional program space while campers are on a nature hike.
