Nature Preschool

Spark your child’s curiosity through hands-on, experiential learning focused on environmental education in the outdoors.
This is a partnership with the Eastern Carver County Schools Community Education. This program is designed for students who want to learn through exploration and are comfortable in an outside environment for extended periods of time (some days it may be the whole class time).
Students must have the prerequisite skills of being fully potty trained and listening/attention skills to stay with the group. A list of outdoor clothing will be provided to families. Eastern Carver County Schools Community Education aims to have grant money available to families who need assistance with purchasing necessary equipment. This class will continue to use StormHawks’ Creative Curriculum and Teaching strategies Gold assessment but will focus on the Science Standards.
Class will meet M-Th at the Family Learning Center (110600 Village Rd. Chaska) and some field days at Camp Fire Minnesota (3300 Tanadoona Drive, Excelsior). Parents will need to drop off and pick up at Camp Fire for these field trips.
September 2023 – May 2024; Monday – Friday, 1:10pm – 3:40pm
